It's fun, it's a gorgeous setting and there's sure to be more than a few memorable moments throughout the three days," states festival producer George Wein.
Monterey Jazz Festival is a favorite festival for jazz lovers around the globe. Here’s why: In one weekend, 59 different groups of artists will take the stage in performance over 30 hours of music at the 53rd Monterey Jazz Festival. Not only does MJF53 offers an incredible line-up of entertainment, this year over 90 events will take place over three nights, which includes 500 different artists performing on 8 stages, arena simulcasts, educational events and exhibits.
The DC Jazz Festival has recently announced the musical line-up for this years event. The festival is scheduled for June 1 – 13 will include an array of talent such as: Paquito D’Rivera; Dianne Reeves; the Eddie Palmieri Latin Jazz Band; the Roy Hargrove Big Band; James Moody; Claudio Roditi; Edmar Castaneda; Michael Philip Mossman; Akua Dixon and Quartette Indigo; the Berklee World Jazz Nonet; Roberta Gambarini; the Marshall Keys Quartet; the Marian Petrescu Quartet featuring Andreas Öberg; Tony Madruga, Uri Gurvich; and many others.
